Houston...we have a problem!

Well, today Kennedy was sent home from school with a headache and a fever. Of course I missed the call because I left my phone in the car while I was at a friends house. Dean had to leave work and go get her. I swear the one time I leave the damn thing and this happens. So, it was after 1pm by the time I got home and she was feeling crap. She had a temp of 101 and complained that her body hurt. I knew straight away that she must have strep because her breath smelled like she had been sucking on a turd. I called and got an appt. with her Dr. and we went in at 4pm. She was tested for strep (had to be held down on the table for this), then tested for the flu (was tricked into it and pissed off), and then needed her finger pricked. For the finger pricking she was not having it. She was kicking and screaming and I mean SCREAMING! I had to hold her down and she almost kicked the nurse off her stool and tried biting the nurse too. Poor kid but as soon as she got stuck she shutup...because it didn't friggen hurt! Anyway, she has strep but not the flu! We got her some antibiotics and she should be on the mend soon! At least I don't have to get up in the morning to drive her to school! WOOHOO!
