My phone rings and I answer it because I don't have caller id here and have no idea who it might be. It was the Admitting folks wondering how I would like to pay my $300co-pay? BLAH! They took my money and brought a receipt to my room all within 5 minutes!! I guess they knew they had me here and I couldn't get away from them. I hate insurance/money. I keep telling myself to be happy that is all we have to pay.

Ah yes, we had the same experience at Baptist when I had Jack. Nothing like hitting you up for the money when you're already in a stressful situation with a sick baby. Gotta love the business side of medicine! I hope Sam is well soon and your lives are back to normal!
Dude, Id have said, "Ill pay my bill after my kid is better. Don't you have anything better to do than to hound alrighty upset parents?" Id have been livid. I was mad at my wedding when the DJ wouldnt keep hounding me for his check in the middle of the damn reception, like I wasnt going to pay him or something.

That is so irritating! I was reading another blog where this woman was in a psychatric hospital and they came and asked her how she would be paying! WTF?? There is just something terribly wrong about that whole system! I thought I was going to get kicked out of the hospital once when they came in after surgery and told me my dr. had not gotten my ins. approval. Glad Sam is better and you got to come home!!
